Head of Promo
THE GOAL. In the end of 2013 Gazprom-Media changed holding's companies' top management. New NTV-PLUS bosses reduced the staff noticeably. My job was to ensure production & broadcasting of 11 movie channels fast and efficiently with those who stayed.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT. I adapted business processes to a reduced staff. Made production, purchasing, planning and broadcast departments best friends: their interaction became active and permanent. Top management set the task to develop new graphic design for all 11 movie channels. I organized tender, collected creative ideas from top 20 agencies in the US, Canada, Australia, GB and Russia. Analyzed the results, held negotiations, chose the winner.
TV PRODUCTION. Based on the audience' research, I revised the system of selecting movies, writing scripts, editing video & sound for each channel. Thousands of promos have been produced for broadcasting over the year. Helping VP of content policy, I clarified movie channels' positioning & made guidelines for my colleagues.
BROADCASTING. I've updated cross-promo's algorithms for production and broadcasting. They used to be based on the preferences of the editors-in-chief, but now they became dependent on data: contracts' exclusivity, box-offices, time slots & so on. These changes raised ARPU as basic subscribers became to move to the premium package.
